This hangs in my studio and was my first oil painting effort. This is my favorite bird of all time so of course it was my first subject.
Japanese Cranes perform a dance that is one of the most beautiful spectacles in the natural world. This dance is done to reaffirm the birds’ bond as they mate for life. To the Japanese they are a sign of happiness and fidelity in marriage.
